Rita Dominic Face Societal Pressure To Get Married In The Trailer For 'Bound' Nigerian society is wildly notorious for putting pressure on women to get married once they 'become of age'. To them, a woman's only aim in life should be to get married, regardless of how many qualifications she has. Lilian Afegbai's upcoming production, Bound, touches on this issue starring Rita Dominic ( The Meeting ) and Enyinna Nwigwe ( The Wedding Party). (Photo: Lilian Afegbai ) The movie follows the story of 35-year-old Chinenye (played by Rita Dominic ), a successful woman who has to suffer several scoldings from meddlesome family members because she isn't married. She also faces pressure from her love interest, Elochukwu (played by Enyinna Nwigwe), who despite all of Chinenye's indecisiveness remains with her. The plot twist, however, is that Chinenye is spiritually bound, which makes her unable to commit herself to anyone, no matter how hard she tries. Therefore the movie is implying that perhaps, Nigerian women who aren't married at the age of 35 must be experiencing a spiritual attack - talk about art imitating life!
