Taofeek Lamidi, 20 Taofeek Lamidi (Newham Recorder) Hours before the celebration of New Year's day on January 1, 2018, 20-year-old Taofeek Lamidi was murdered in East London after being stabbed repeatedly. Taofeek, a former Eastlea Community School pupil suffered fatal stab wounds in Memorial Avenue two days before his 21st birthday, in one of four fatal unrelated attacks across London over the New Year. The young Nigerian was pronounced dead at the scene at 8.22pm despite police and paramedics’ efforts to resuscitate him.

Reports revealed that Rotimi was fatally stabbed inside a property in the Halliday Square housing estate on Monday, February 19, 2018. Efforts to resuscitate Rotimi proved abortive as he died before getting to the hospital. However, 39-year-old Mark Tyrone Thomas has been remanded in custody at the court ahead of a plea hearing on May 11, 2018.

Kelvin's death is suspected to have been one of the many causalities in an ongoing gang war. The 19-year-old Kelvin had met his untimely death after he visited Wood Green, an environment known for widespread violence. Odunuyi met his end at the Vue Cinema located in the area according to the Evening Standard.
Abraham Badru, 26 Abraham Badru (The Independent) On Sunday, March 25, 2018, 26-year-old Abraham Badru, son of a Nigerian lawmaker, was killed late in the evening. Evening standard reports that Badru was approached and shot in the chest near his family home in Dalston, Hackney. While the family is grieving, the police are offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information about the murder of a man shot dead "without warning". The brilliant Badru was awarded the National Police Bravery Award in 2009 for stopping a rapist from attacking a teenage girl.
Israel Ogunshola, 18 Israel Ogunshola (England Lives) On April 4, 2018, another Nigerian teenager, Israel Ogunsola was killed on the streets of the United Kingdom. According to reports, Israel died in the shadow of a railway bridge on Link Street at the junction with Morning Lane in Hackney at 8.24pm. The 18-year-old died about half an hour after being stabbed and despite the efforts of police officers, paramedics and a trauma doctor from London’s air ambulance. Meanwhile, the London police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old boy alongside another suspect with the murder of Israel, who was stabbed to death in east LondoN.
